Personal History

       

        Hey to everyone that is reading this! My name is Tyler Jamieson and I am 17 years old from Shelburne, Ontario, Canada. I'm 5'9 and have an athletic build. I have been racing for two years now and have had much success that many have had to take years to do. I started riding dirt bike’s in 2003 and have had a passion for it ever since. This last season has been an exceptionally well year as it was only my SECOND full year racing and have been able to achieve goals that many have taken years of experience. This year I was still able to finish 4th in 250 Jr and 5th in Gp Jr even though I missed four rounds due to a separated shoulder and broken pinky. I was also able to win the 125 junior championship at the cmx nationals and also a 3rd in the 250 junior class. In the youth classes at cmrc provincials I was able to finish inside the top ten at races that stacked a field full of intermediate and pro riders. This fall I was able to prove that I will be a contender next year in the intermediate class as I battled all weekend at the Baja brawl in Michigan with the second place finisher of our intermediate provincials and was able to succeed to beat him in motos. Next year i will be looking forward to a great year of racing as i will be going down south for a month to train and will be racing in the intermediate classes.

Riding Goals

 

       My future 2008 Motocross season is full of determined goals that I know I can fulfill. This year I will be racing a YZ250F and a YZ450F. With these bikes I will be riding the intermediate classes where my goals are to finish fifth or better in the provincial standings. I also plan on competing in the Walton Trans-can where I am determined to finish in the top twelve. I also plan on going down to Florida for the whole month of March to prepare for the upcoming season, could possibly be going to the Oak Hill National in Texas and plan on competing in the U.S. throughout the 2008 season. My goals that I have set for myself are realistic and am doing all I can to fulfill these goals. I am currently working with Chris Pomeroy who is a former Canadian Motocross Professional and worked with Ryan Gauld throughout the year and also am working with a trainer from Summit Fitness (Andrea is Head Trainer and is specialized in many areas of fitness). My workout consists of 45 minutes of Cardio and between ½ hr to 1 hr of abs and upper body strengthening. I have also acquired a road bike so that I am able to extend my fitness level so that I can extend my focus to help reach my goals.
