Personal History

My name is Tomas Persson and I was born 1979, so I am 28 years old. I am from a town called Uppsala in Sweden, it´s just 80 km north of Stockholm. I started racing when I was about 7 years old and my first bike was a YZ 80cc -83. I loved the action and the speed so I soon moved up on newer bikes and raced KX 80 for many years.

After almost ten years away from the racing I started again in 2004 and noticed that I had alot of the speed from my young career still in me. In 2005 I started the team "Team Lepard Racing" because I felt that I needed a better platform to show of my racing for sponsors, fans and family.

When I am not racing I work as a IT Technician at a big national company in Sweden. In my free time I hang out with my girlfriend and work alot on my own community for mx racers in Sweden called www.mxstar.se. The site mxstar.se is a great place for me to get to work with my hobby mx racing and also a great way for me to show off sponsors for my over 500 members on the site.

Riding Goals

I will do everything I can to step it up even more next season, and after my 8th position finish last year I have to aim for the podium. I am going to ride hard and have fun on the bike. I will work hard to get the team strong and try to get up on the podium in every race.

Competitive Highlights

After almost ten years away from the racing I managed the get back and race with good speed at a high amateur level in Sweden.
