Personal History
My name is Thomas. I'm a very sporty person and enjoy riding my BMX bike, playing cricket and cross country running. I am one of three children in my family and live with my mum and dad who both work hard to pay for my motocross.
Riding Goals
I was the first person in my family to take up motocross after I had a try-out day at my local track and fell in love with the sport straight away. My first bike was a 1990 KX60. Everyone said it was the worst bike on the track but I learned to ride and change gears quickly so my dad upgraded me to a 2002 KX65. Finally I was allowed to race! I started out at the back of the pack but my determination paid off and I worked my way to place 5th in the Summer series for my local club, PJMC and 3rd in the Winter series. I was upgraded again to a 2005 KX85! The bike had many faults and I was finally upgraded to a new 2015 KX85....my dreams had come true! I found my first season on the 85 hard and didn't place well for my first season. However, nothing puts me off the sport I love most and I plan to get better results this year. I will also be racing with different clubs and have signed up to take part in the MX Masters Kids.
My love of MX has inspired my older sister and my younger brother to take it up too. This year I will be supporting my sister at The Girls' Nationals in Scotland and will race in the boys' class. I expect there will be other brothers to compete with.
