Personal History
Hello, my name is Tate Dyer. I am 15 years old, in the 10th grade, and I've been riding since the age of 4 and racing for 7 years. My father got me into the "Off-Road" genre of the sport through his passion of desert and enduro racing and I have stuck with it since. Realizing that I am blessed and lucky to do what I love and respecting everyone that provides me this luxury gets me to the races and I recognize and appriciate that.
Hare Scrambles and desert races are my passion and I have been fortunate enough to have gained knowledge from one on one clinics with Destry Abott, Steve Hatch, Keith Johnson and Cody Shaffer. I am also blessed enough to ride and train weekly with local Off Road Pro Bryant Cope which has taken my ability to the next level. It sure did pay off for the 2011 race season with my year end score putting me in second for the Ironman mini class.
My parents are insistant on A's and B's in order to do what I love so therefore I am dedicated to my school work and I stay focused on the prize. My favorite subjects are History, Public Speaking, and Biology. spending time with my family is valuable to me and I have them to thank for the all that I have done so far.
Riding Goals
My goal for the up coming 2013 season is to place well in the 250 B class, which will hopefully be accomplished with a lot of focus and hard training this winter. Moving up from the C class is a very exciting step in my career and i look foward to challenging my self with a new group of more competetive riders from the "B" riders to "A" and Pro.
Competitive Highlights
I won the 50cc WeBe Racing Hare Scrambles Championship in 2005 and 2006, I won the 65cc Championship in 2007 and 2008, I placed 3rd in 2009 in the 100cc class (missed 2 races) and placed 2nd in the 100cc class in 2010.
My biggest accomplishments so far have been placing second overall in the Ironman mini class, after missing 2 races of the season. The other would have to be at the round in Monte Vista,CO, I started the race on my KTM 105 and after riding 400 yds. into the course I blew the bike up, and after an hour of trying to get the bike out of the trees and back to the pits did not want to end the weekend so abruptly so when i got back to the truck i jumped on my dads KTM 200 and raced back out onto the course and completed my first race on a big bike. The following and final round of the season i just raced my dads bike in the 200 C class and ended up second in my class and ninth overall out of 75 other riders.
Also in this past 2012 race season I finished 3rd overall and won at the season ender, I was very pleased with those results for my first season on a big bike.
