Personal History
My family and I are avid dirt bike riders. I grew up riding dirt bikes and racing motocross in the pee wee league. Most often, I was the only girl rider. I was cheered on by a large crowd when I raced at the Cow palace in San Francisco against 50 young boys. Sadly, my gymnastics career took off and my family lost the funds to support both racing and competing in gymnastics. I continued to joy ride and spend time with my family. I recently started to race again, entering as many races as I can. I love riding dirt bikes, it is my passion. It is my stress relief. When I feel a panic attack or anxiety attack starting, I hop on my KDX and take off. My dirt bike is my happy place. I love going to races, the comradery of other racers and their family, the smell of the bikes at the start, that moment when the flag goes down, the rapid excelleration and strength of my heart beat.
Riding Goals
I have been working on improving my stance and position on the bike. I've been working on my stamina to improve my racing ability. I would like to race in more regional and national races and move from the novice class to amature to expert. I would like to compete in the las vegas to reno race 2017. I have 1 year to train.
My main goal is to enjoy every moment of riding I can and share that joy with others.
Competitive Highlights
I recently competed in the Virginia City Grand Prix 2016. This race was only my 4th race as an adult. Amongst 500 riders, men and women, I placed 131 overall and 15th out of 28 in the women's class. They combined all levels of experience together. I was competing against expert and amature women and still placed 15th.
Additionally, during the Rhino-Roller race in February 2016, I suffered a concussion 8 minutes into a 2hr race. I refused to give up and finished the race in 5th place.
