Personal History
Ross started riding a dirtbike at the age of 4. Although he was never competitive in the sport he always rode for fun. He started racing quarter midgets at the age of 7. He won many races and placed in the series points. He liked the Quarter midgets, but his passion was for dirt bikes.
In 2015 Ross convinced his parents to sell the Quarter midgets and allow him to race dirt bikes. Ross raced about 2-3 races that first year. It was just enough to get his feet wet and see if he liked it. In 2016 he raced a handful of races. Ross had proven to his parents that THIS is the sport he wanted to be in.
In Spring of 2017 Ross had a crash. He suffered a grade 4 lacerated liver. He spent a week and a half in ICU. This injury kept Ross of the bike for a full year.
April of 2018, he got the ok from the doctors to ride again. By time Ross was clear to ride he was way too big for his 105 KTM supermini. His father allowed him to use his 97 Suzuki 2 stroke since his parents did not have another bike for Ross to ride at the time. Ross was 13 years old and became quite comfortable on this bike.
Ross has spent the whole 2018 season training. Ross has been training with AJ Catanzaro. Aj Catanzaro is a pro racer and trainer who has been racing supercross professionally since he was 16. By working with Aj , Ross has gained the knowledge and foundation to surpass any rider he is up against.
Ross has been fortunate enough to train and work with many big-name pro racers of today such as Ryan Hughes, Dean Wilson. Austin Forkner, Jimmy Decotis, Weston Peick , and Adam Cianciarulo who has just won the national championship for both Supercross and Motocross.
Ross has been to many tracks in the 2018 season in multiple states. Some, even as far as South Carolina. It has proven to be the best thing for him as he has dedicated himself and developed his technique all season and has shown so much improvement of a rider in such a short amount of time. Ross is so grateful for his coach Aj and the training, guidance and opportunities he has given Ross.
Ross is homeschooled through Penn Foster Academy and he currently holds a 3.67 GPA in school.
Riding Goals
With the 2019 season nearing an end Ross plans on continued training throughout the off season. This will combine riding on his own track as weather permits and some travel to train with his coach Club Mx and Tomahawk. Ross' goal is to dominate in the 2020 season and compete in the futures races for 2021 with SGB Racing. His goal is to compete in supercross by age of 18.
