Rick Woodborne finished 3rd for the day after an exciting 2 heat battle at the Malmesnury Motorcross track. After and excellent start in heat 1 Rick was lying seconda place to His mate Chad van Breda. On the last lap of the 10 minute heat Rick was bumped out of contention while overtaking a back marker which relegated him to 3rd place. In the second heat he got off to a blinding start again and was battling it out with Justin Sangster for second place. On the 8th lap Rick took the wrong line through turn 5 and allowed Justin to pass on the inside. Rick pressed hard and on the last lap, turn 9 Rick pushed to hard on an overtake and dumped the bike.He finished in 3rd place to end 3rd overall for the day. with Justin Sangster managing a miraculous 1st after Chad dumped his bike 5 metres from the finish and Chad van Breda 2nd.
