Personal History
I have been an amateur desert racer for many years. I began in 1988 when I was 16 years old, and have been racing ever since, with varying levels of participation during that time. At my busiest, I was racing 25-30 times per year. But in recent years, I've been making more time for my family and have been limiting my racing to 5-10 races per year.
I have been a member of the Four Aces Motorcycle Club for 15+ years. Our club typically promotes two races per year: a National Hare & Hound in February and a Motocross in the summer. I am usually heavily involved with the organization of these events, sometimes acting as the race referee.
In addition to my racing and club participation, I have been an officer with District 37 AMA for over a decade. I have volunteered as a scoring steward, a series referee and currently sit on the Board of Directors.
Riding Goals
For 2023, I am hoping to race approximately once per month and participate in about 10 races. Mostly I will be looking at the National Hare & Hound events, but may also participate in Desert Scrambles and Enduros.
Competitive Highlights
- Winning the National Hare & Hound championship in the 251-Open B class in 2004.
- Earning District 37 #7 in the Heavyweight division in 2004.
