Personal History
I began racing motocross at age 40 after taking over 20 years off from racing hare scrambles in my early 20's. My first year racing I tied for the championship in the plus 30 novice class for CNYMRA and only missing one race the entire season. I was ranked #1 Plus 30 Novice for AMA. I bumped myself to amateur status for the 2016 season and won the championship in the plus 40 and placed 2nd in the plus 30 for Upstate MX in upstate New York. For the last two years I have raced almost every race weekend along with riding our practice track during the week a minimum of 2-3 days per week with my son.
Riding Goals
My goals for 2017 are to continue racing weekly and run for the championship in the Plus 30 Amateur class and begin racing the Masters A&B class when it's available at our local races. Also, to continue coaching my 13 year old son and work to improve his riding skills and confidence in himself.
Competitive Highlights
Tied for 1st place in 30 plus novice in my first year racing motocross.
Ranked 1st by AMA in 30 plus novice my first year racing.
Won the 40 plus amateur class my first year riding as an amateur, and also finished 2nd in the 30 plus amateur the same year.
Winning on the same day as my son won his first ever race and holding our 1steam place trophies together.
Raced 23 out of 24 races in 2015 in my district plus 4 races outside my district
