Personal History
My name is Preston Christensen, I love to race motocross and it’s what I have loved to do my whole life. My dad raced motocross his whole life so I guess it just runs in the family. I am married and have 4 kids 3 girls and 1 boy. My boy has a bike and just recently started racing. I played a lot of other sports growing up but nothing ever compared to racing motocross. I graduated high school with honors and graduated half a year early. I knew exactly what I wanted to do so I focused all my time on motocross. I grew up in a family that didn’t have a lot of money so I didn’t always get the newest bikes and upgrades. That just made me work harder to be more motivated to win races. My family always supported me and helped me as much as they could so I could go racing every weekend and that helped me out a lot. I knew I had to practice and put a lot of work into racing if I wanted to keep doing it. That’s exactly what I did and I enjoy every minute of it.
Riding Goals
I hope to make it to the Ponca Oklahoma Nationals and want to place top ten there. I also hope to place in the top ten in the AMA regional qualification races so I can compete at the bigger national races. I am going to be racing arenacross and supercross this year as well and really want to progress in my class and get good consistent race results. I just want to get physically and mentally prepared so I can accomplish my goals.
Competitive Highlights
I have had consistent top 3 race results in my series. I was always in the top 10 and had qualified for Ponca Oklahoma Nationals but didn’t have the funds or sponsor support I needed to make it there. I was racing the Utah arenacross series and was in the top 3 for points and ended up crashing and having surgery on my knee. When I am healthy and mentally prepared I have consistent race results.
