Personal History

My name is Olivia Sass, I am 6 years old. I live in Hooosick Falls, NY with my mom, dad and 2 brothers. I first got into dirt bikes in April of 2015. I had just I learned to ride my bicycle with out training wheels a couple hours before I decided I wanted to try and ride my brothers CRF 50. Two weeks later I raced in my very first motocross race on May 10th at Paradox MX in Granville, NY. I got very discouraged during practice, I kept falling and I couldn't make it up the first BIG hill (my dad had to push me). Mom and dad kept encouraging me not to give up and just go out there and have fun. Every weekend possible mom and dad where finding us some track to go to and race. Every race i got more confident, I got quicker, and by the end of the 2015 season I was actually jumping my bike. I did not race for Championship points last season, but this season I am going to. I can't wait.

Riding Goals

I would like to win races this season, and I dream of going to Loretta Lynn's.

Competitive Highlights

I was pretty slow last year on my bike so I was usually last or second to last. I would get discouraged alot, but mom, dad, the track officials and even the EMT's were all there encouraging me to get up and get back on from whatever fall I may have taken (I fell a lot)! The race I did at Capeway Rover MA, I was thrown from my bike, when the first place kid came over the table top (he never saw me). He hit me in my rear tire, and it threw me from my bike. When my dad got there I was laying in the middle of the track crying. Dad asked me if I was hurt (I said no) before moving me out of the way. All I wanted was to make sure my bike was okay and to get back on and finish the race. The kid who hit me got hurt and had to go to the hospital. After the race was over I went to find him to see if he was okay, but they had already taken him in the ambulance.
