Personal History

My name is Lane Brandow.  I'm 14 years old and started riding in 2015 when I finally talked my mom into getting me a bike. She bought a pit bike, but I found out pretty quickly that was not what I needed for racing.  We found an older Suzuki 85 on Craig's List, so that's what I started on.  All I wanted to do was race.  There were a couple local kids a few years older than me who did some racing, so I started by just talking to them and spending some time with them. Without anywhere close by to practice, I am usually burning up my Mom's grass in the yard.  I have learned a lot about motorcross and racing and bike maintenance just by talking to other people at races and practices.  And of course YouTube!  I have met a lot of great people along the way so far, which is one of the best things about this sport--next to racing and winning!

Riding Goals

This year I want to place in the Missouri State Series, and hopefully try to qualify for Loretta's on my supermini after that.  In the next year, I want to move up to the 250 class.  I like both outdoor and indoor racing.  Since it is just my mom and I, I know I will be limited, but I want to go as far as I can.  My dream would be to make it to Supercross one day!
