Personal History
My name is Kennedy Kimmel. I have been racing since I was 4 years old. I started on a PW50 and also rode a KTM JR 50. I am the third generation of a motocross family. My mom raced as a child along with my Uncle, Grandfather, Grandmother, and Aunt. I have always been told it runs in my blood. I continued on to a Cobra 50 Sr and then to a KTM 65. Once I had reached that point, I really wanted to make it to Loretta Lynns Amateur Nationals. I reached that goal in 2011. I placed 5th in the Girls 9-11 class on a Suzuki 85. I continued working very hard, racing locally while also learning. In 2012 I qualified again for the Nationals and placed 13th in the Girls 9-11. In 2013 I qualified once again. I had terrible luck while at Loretta Lynns. I ended up crashing and dislocating my elbow. In 2014 I moved up to a Kawasaki 250F as a 13 year old. I love riding and racing this bike. I put everything I had to qualify in the Womens 14+ and accomplished that. I did not finish where I would have liked but felt that I learned so much this year. I will continue to practice and work very hard at improving my riding skills and come back stronger than ever for the 2016 season. I am now a part of an amazing race team, Motocross Ladies. I have met some amazing ladies and recently had the chance to spend a week with all of them at James Stewart Spring Championship.
Riding Goals
I plan on improving my riding skills by training and practicing. I want to attend more national events and accomplish better finishes.
