Personal History

My name is Keifer Jacobson and I compete in Trials both locally here in Colorado and Nationally in the U.S.  I've been competing for the last 4 years resulting in: 2005 6th place Amateur class, 2006 1st place Advanced Class, 2007 1st place Expert class CO. 4th place HS class NATC, 2008 4th place Pro CO.  3rd place HS class NATC and 3rd place overall in the Ute Cup National.  I practice on my trials bicycles regularly and cross train by running and Mtn Biking.  I also enjoy hunting and fishing as I live in the foothills of Colorado.  I'm a member of our local volunteer fire department and I work for a local glass shop.

Riding Goals

I have developed a relationship with a former Colorado State Champion and former top NATC competitor who is working as my coach and mentor.  We are continuing to develop my skills both physically and mentally.  I plan to improve my standing in the Pro Class in Colorado and will compete in the Expert class nationally for 2009.  I also plan to enter some EnduroCross events in 2009 to expand my racing experience.  Although I'm physically fit, I'm training to improve my strength and conditioning for this high level of competition.

Competitive Highlights

I made dramatic improvements since 2006 and continue to impress the veterans of our sport.  Winning the Advanced and Expert classes consecutively were great challenges that I take pride in achieving.  Colorado is a very competative trials state, so advancing to the Pro class in 4 years is a difficult task at best.  Placing 3rd overall in the Ute Cup this last summer was another great moment for me.  I was very proud to be voted Teenager of the Year by Rocky Mountain Trials Association's steering committee in 2005 as that award celebrates both competition and sportsmanship.
