Rider Updates

Today I rode for the second time at the same track. My mother and my wife came to video tape, take pictures, and cheer me on. My wife kept saying how impressed she was with how much improvement I had shown even just from 3 days prior. She said I looked much more comfortable, like I still had it! I felt a lot more comfortable, I knew the track, and I was getting used to the new bike. I ran about four or five 4 lap motos and averaged 1 minute 45 second laps, I believe the track is about 1.3 miles long.

Today I got back on a bike, it's been nearly 10 years! My family and I moved out to the country in 2001 so that I would be able to build my own arena cross track, money got tight, and instead we ended up opening up a very successful business. However, since then, there has been this part of me that can't get over the fact that I didn't finish something that I had started. Don't get me wrong, I ride my bike, around the field and our trails in the woods; but there is nothing like the adrenaline of being on a race track. When I got on my bike today it felt right, my head is 100% into the sport now, and I felt as though I still have it. I know it's going to take a lot of hard work and dedication, both of which I have been working on for a couple months, by training very hard.
