Well another great racing weekend has come and gone. A heavy dose of rain Friday night, on top of a dry week made for great track conditions and an awesome night of racing Saturday night at Dade City Raceway. The rain was just enough to make to track tacky but not muddy. The quads made some pretty deep ruts, but the tackiness helped keep them manageable by providing some good traction. The first moto of the night for me was the +35C class, which was combined with the 250C and 250 Beginner classes. I had a good run going, holding second place from the holeshot, but got hung up behind a slower rider from the 250 Beginner class and lost a spot dropping me back to a 3rd place finish. As good as I felt after that moto, the second moto of the +35C class would leave me with an even better feeling. I got a bad holeshot, sliding sideways off the line instead of a good forward charge and ended up in 4th place. Around the 2nd or 3rd lap I got a good charge onto the long straightaway and passed both the 3rd and 2nd place riders to take over the 2nd spot just before entering the next corner. With a little over 1 lap remaining, I was a short corner behind the 1st place rider when he bobbled in a quad rut which slowed him down enough to allow me to catch him. We battled around the next 2 corners before I got a better run off a corner to beat him to the next turn and take over the lead for good taking a 1st place in the second moto for a 2nd place overall. I had a solid run in the 125 Beginner class as well. The first moto was a little rough though. Off the line and into the 1st turn I was side by side with the first 3 riders when 2 of them tangled in the corner and went down right in front of me. I had no time to react ran right into 1 of them stalling out while trying to stop. After getting my bike re-fired I had fallen back to the 7th position, but was able to climb back up to the 5th spot by the end of the moto. The second moto would be a little kinder to me. I got a pretty goo

Despite a hard crash which left him with a fractured fibula, and torn anterior talo-fibular ligament in his left leg, Joe Humet rode to a 9th place overall in the 125 Beginner class, and an 11th place overall in the +35C class. "After 3 straight days of rain at Dade City Raceway, the track was very soft and loomy. During the 1st of 4 motos on the night, I got tagled up with 3 other riders and went hard into a solid berm twisting my left leg backwards and upright the opposite way it belongs. Even though the pain was pretty extreme, I continued to ride that moto and the 3 that followed. I tried my best to keep my composure and compete. Thankfully I was able to finish well in the next 3 motos for good overalls." The moto results are as follows:
+35C - 1st Moto - 19th of 22 (crash); 2nd Moto - 6th of 22; Overall - 11th Place.
125 Beginner - 1st Moto - 10th of 17; 2nd Moto - 7th of 17; Overall - 9th Place.
