Personal History
I am currently 19. I grew up riding most of my life from when I was the age of just 3 years old. I rode occasionally until I was about 10 and then took some time off until I was about 14 then I decided to get back into the sport but way more involved then I was before. I started back on a 2003 kx85 and rode that for about a year and got a 2007 yz125. My dad died during the period of me first owning the YZ so a few months after, once I ran out of funds, I had to get a job if I wanted to continue to ride because my mom wasn’t able to support me. I got a job at a local metal fab shop, where I still work now, and started making enough money to be able to afford to ride. I then started racing with my cousin in 2022 in the TCCRA (Texas Cross Country Racing Association) championship. I now am still racing TCCRA and ride some motocross also. (Update 2025) I now am 19 and saved up to buy a 2024 yz250f. I am much faster and more comfortable on this bike and my results have shown. So far this race season at TCCRA I’ve been a consistent podium guy. Just need to get the bike set up more for me. I’ve been riding a lot of motocross also. Not raced it but have been riding it and have gotten much better. I try to ride once or twice a week at the least (weather permitting) and I’ve been steadily improving my riding capabilities.
Riding Goals
I would call myself a soul rider. I like to race but I mainly ride just because I love to ride and learn and achieve new things within riding dirtbikes. While I do ride and race I’m also working towards becoming a high level mechanic. I already work for a moto shop on weekends and have 7 bikes in my garage that are all getting constant attention and maintenance. This year I’m hoping to podium in my class as much as I can. Even grab a couple wins which I know I can do. And in the next year or two I want to hit up a couple local moto races here in Texas.
Competitive Highlights
My top highlight is that I’m currently winning my TCCRA Championship. So far I am three races in. My results are 3rd, 4th and 1st. Took some time to get my new bike figured out but I think I can win consistently now.
