Personal History

My name is James Peck and I’m 15 years old and a sophomore at Elk Rapids High School. I started riding dirt bikes for fun when I was six years old, and started racing competitively in 2024. I raced in the D14 Hare Scrambles Series, and moto races when I was able. I had a great start to my first year and excited to see what’s to come in 2025!

When I'm not on the race track you can find me enjoying the all-season sports that Northern Michigan has to offer. I enjoy downhill skiing and the terrain park, snowmobiling, water skiing & jet skiing or just ripping around on the trails or in my back yard mini-track.

If I'm not active outside I also enjoy hitting the gym and hanging out with my friends and family and working on my bikes in the garage with my other racing buddies and my dad.

During the summer I work at a local cherry farm driving a tractor to help with the season cherry harvest. I recently got a job at a local resort as a lifeguard.

Riding Goals

In 2025 I plan on racing the D14 Hare Scramble series and racing at some GNCC series races. I also plan to compete at as many motocross races as I can and ultimately qualifying for the 2025 Loretta Lynn's. As much time in my seat is only going to help me grow as a competitor.

2025 Goals:

  • Finish Top 2 in the D14 Hare Scramble Series
  • Finish Top 5 at Motocross competitions
  • Qualify for 2025 Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn's

Competitive Highlights

D14 Hare Scramble Results - 8 race series

80/105c - 12 - 15y & Team C

    • Mini Open - 5 top 10 finishes
    • Team C - competed at 3 races and took 1st place at all 3 competitions

D14 Motocross Results - 7 events attended

80/105c - 9 - 15y

    • Mini Open - 3 top 6 finishes (1 race taking 2nd place!)

After my 1st year of racing competitively and up against riders who have been competing for many years and against some who race at GNCC I felt good about my year 1 results and have a drive to meet my goals for 2025!
