My name is James Desormeaux and I am 6 yrs old. I attend De Soto Grade School as a kindergartener. I love learning in school and love my teacher. I play coach pitch baseball and my dad was my coach this year. We won Southern Illinois Champions with a record of 15 wins and 2 losses. Our motto my dad taught us was to "Play With Spirit", "Do Your Best", and "Never Give Up" along with being a good sport. I use these mottos in everything I do. I have a Cobra CX 50 Jr and also a Yamaha PW 50 which I love riding everyday after my homework is done. I am currently being trained by a Professional rider of 8 yrs and MX Coach of 6 yrs. He is very patient and teaches me the fundementals of motocross. Every Sunday I have practice with my motocross coach for 2 hrs. We always start off by doing exercises and stretches. Then we work on the attack position, turning with legs in proper position, elbow placement, forward focus at all times, braking, starts, whoops, scrubs, rythm sections, seat hops, passing, rutted corners, and off camber. I want to stick with motocros until I make it as a professional. I love spending time wirh my family and friends. I love to fish when we go to our family's houseboat, we also get to go ride the jet ski and go tubing. I love when our family does things together like going eat out, going to amusement parks and even the town park is a blast. When doing anything with my family it is always fun.
My goals for this year is to learn as much as possible about motocross and what my coach is teaching me in training. I want to have a solid foundation with the right techniques of motocross racing. I would like to enter as many races in my local, regional and even national races as possible. My biggest goal for motocross this coming year is to place well in the Loretta Lynn Regional Qualifiers and make it to the Loretta Lynn Nationals.
I have not raced yet offcially but looking forward to it. I do train alot and I feel I have what it takes to be a great competitor.
