Personal History
In my late teens to early 20's I used to race at Dade City Raceway in Florida with all my friends. Times change and work became more important, which ended my racing and all my riding stopped as well. Couple of years later, my brother was older and was moving up to a bigger bike, which lead to me getting back into riding. I financed three brand new 2003 Honda CR250's, which two were mine and the other my brothers new bike. I setup one for racing and the other for practice/trail riding. I got back into shape and later tore another ACL, which took months to ride again. During this transition, I was becoming a family man and when my son was born in 2005, I sold both of my bikes to focus on raising my son. Several years later, I am back to riding again and enjoying the sport from another perspective, while riding with family and friends on the weekends.
I own a 2006 Honda CRF450, which I overhauled and upgraded components to suite my riding style. The sport today as I know it cost a lot more now than it did 15-20 years ago, as the bikes are more complex and parts are more expensive as well.. Even though I am older and maybe slower than I used to be, I must say it is a thrill to be back on two wheels. This is more exciting than any trophy can bring at my age in life and I enjoy every minute I'm out there riding. The most I can offer each and every sponsor is loyalty to your brand and a lot of word of mouth promoting around Central and South Florida. I look forward to our beginnings and friendship each and every year.
Riding Goals
My goals are the same as they always have been, which is enjoying being able to ride with friends, family, or even other riders I meet in new locations. Everyone rides for different reasons, but mine is always having fun until the day I can no longer do it.Competitive Highlights
My highlights would be from my MX racing days with my buddies and track friends banging bars, to the massive pile ups in the first turn. I always placed in the top 12, which was good enough for me as I just enjoyed racing with friends compared to watching from the stands. I enjoyed these times on the track but those days are well behind me. The biggest take away or highlight here is just having fun while I can.
