Personal History
My name is DYLAN GLUECK #329 and I am 14 years old. I got my first ragged out KDX 80 3 years ago. Once I learned to get it moving without killing it and I was able to shift I asked my dad if I could get a new kx 85. My dad said sure, If i paid for it. So for the next year I saved every peeny I got for holidays, and my A's on my report cards. When I had $1000 dollars saves, we went to a Kawasaki dealer and found a new 2003 KX 85 that was a leftover. It was new now 2008 and the bike was 5 years old, but I didn't care because it was brand new and it was going to be mine. The lady sold it to me for $1000 dollars.
Now that I had a real bike to race I wanted to start practicing on a real track because I wanted to start racing. My dad works with Vince Friese's dad. Vince is a pro rider for the Moto Concepts team. Vince's dad told my dad where I could practice. Every weekend we would drive 1.5 hours to this track so I could practice. I watched my first MX race at this track too. WE heard that this track was going to have a race and I was so excited. A week before the race, the track was closed and was sold because the neighbors didn't like the noise. Luckily, the guy that ran that track moved the race to another track and I got to race there. I started in the 85 beginner class in May of 2009 and took First Place. I was doing preety good on my KX 85 so my dad bought me a 2003 KX 100 to race too. I kept practicing and racing that Summer, and that Winter I road Arenacross. I took THIRD PLACE in 85 Sr and THIRD PLACE in SUPERMINI on my KX 100 in my first year of indoor riding.
This Spring, I road 85 Sr and ran the TMXA series in the 85 Sr and Supermini classes. I finished the series taking THIRD PLACE in 85 Sr and FIRST PLACE in SUPERMINI! I recently had to sell my KX 85 because I got to big for it and I got a new 2009 KX 250F that was leftover. THe Kawasaki dealer gave me $2000 dollars for my 2003 KX 85. They couldn't believe it was 7 years old because it looked so good. I take good care of my bikes and I try to do as much of the maintenance as I can because I want to go to MMI when I get out of high school in 2014.
I haven't been able to race for the last couple of weeks because I was burned pretty bad at the neighbors house while I was helping him work on his truck motor. Some gas caught fire that my friend had in his hand when he went to plug something in and he freaked and through it and it landed on me and caught me on fire. I am healing now and can't wait until the doctor says I am good to go and I can ride again.
Riding Goals
My FIRST GOAL is to get healed up from my burns and just get back on my bike. My SECOND GOAL is to race Arenacross this Winter in the 250C class and make it to the podium. It would be awesome to walk away with a First Place trophy this year in Supermini and 250C class. My THIRD GOAL is to pick up some sponsers so my parents don't have to worry so much about how expensive racing is. I would like to have a Pro Circuit Exhaust put on my new KX 250F, but with my docktor bills it will be awhile before I can get that. When i take FIRST PLACE in the 250C class this Winter in indoor, at least I can say I did it on a stock bike. My ULTIMATE GOAL is to make it to Loretta's by the time I am 18 and Win! I want to go PRO! If i don't though, I want to go to MMI and learn to be a bike mechanic so I can work for a Pro riders team. THat would be so sweet. I don't I could call that work. I would like to work for TEAM GREEN too!
