Personal History
Hi my names Cory Duplease I'm 26 years old and started racing MX 3 years ago when my friends Robby Marshall and Jimmy Decotis convinced me to. I literally got on a dirt bikee for 3 weeks and went to race southwick 338, I finished 22nd overall in a class of 34 riders and thats how it started. I raced the 125c class my first year having never ridden motocross and finished in the top 10 in all 9 races I entered. 3 times in the top 5. The next year I worked with Rob a little more on my style and my finishes became top 7 or better in classes with 30 kids. This year im moving up a class and expect to do just as well in the 250 B class. My goal is to get a win this year and use that momentum to get more and more. Off the track I work full time as a Hazardous area's electrician and help out my cousins promotion company. So if you have a product to sell I'm your man I can do it respectfully and get the word out for you.
Riding Goals
Some goals for the coming year as far as motocross go's are to work hard and really develope good technique and stamina for my races, so that I can get a podium spot before the spring series is over.
Competitive Highlights
My most vivid highlight is actually from my first race, I came wide into a corner and swaped out a little allowing 2 bikes to pass me tight on the inside I pushed back hard and and passed right in between them on a big double and jus blew them away after that actually catching someone else and battleing with him for a bit before we got the checker and I got him by about 4 feet. also remember my first pass at Sothwick because it was on a sharpe corner and against an amature on a 250, I came tight inside him and put distance between us right out of the corner.
Most recently on June 20th I was in second place for 3 laps and riding real strong when bad luck caught up to me and I blew my front tire out with 2 laps left and finshed 9th, the next moto I was in 4th and went to lap someone, when I passed him he somehow lost control and came over 5 feet, hit me and sent me off the track. Overall I got 10th place on the day even wioth the bad luck though so I guess I can't complain.
