Personal History
My dad, John Haaker, introduced me to motorcycles at an early age. My dad was a 2x ISDE Gold medalist. He passed his passion of bikes to me and it has been a sport we have shared together ever since. I grew up trail riding with my dad and his friends and their motorcycle club, the LADB. Riding with the old dudes was always fun, I was on a KX80 and I went everywhere they did. Riding with them made me work harder and push myself to keep up. Now they are just old! Haha no they’re still fast.I was racing motocross at 13 years old. But because of injuries my parents forced me to slow things down.
After watching one of Geoff Aaron’s trials shows, in my hometown I was hooked. I actually watched almost all of Geoff’s shows through the weekend. I’d ride my bicycle down there and annoy Geoff in between his shows on his time off haha he actually remembered me years later! I started riding trials at 15 years old. In two short years I won the AMA Expert Championship, went pro and finished as the seventh ranked rider in the nation. No one has ever done this before! That same year (2007) I tried Endurocross on my trials bike, I won the amateur class in Vegas, and finished fourth in the Pro Main. The following Endurocross season I gained sponsorship with Lucas Oil successfully made the transition back to motocross bikes and finished fifth in points. In 2009 my consistent results made me a title contender for the second year. I finished fourth in points and become the first ever Junior Pro AMA Champion. I really hope to be competitive in this 2011 race season. I am very fortunate to be able to do what I love most in these times and have a lot of people to thank.
Riding Goals
In 2011, I will again focus on the Endurocross Series. It is my ultimate goal to win this series and I think it will be my year. I will also be fully commited to the WORCS Series where I plan to be a consistent podium fixture in the Pro Championships. With those two series I am commited to a full year of racing with 18 races. in between these two series I plan on filling my weekends up with Motocross Nationals and West Coast Supercross Lites!
I want to do it all ride everything from AMA Motocross to Extreme Enduro, such as teh Erzberg Rodeo in Austria. I hope to have a long and succesful career. I’d love to experience Europe racing there would be challening and just really a once in a lifetime opportunity. I just love riding everything and want to experience Endurocross, Motocross, Supercross, Extreme Enduro’s, the WEC, ISDE, WORCS, GNCC’s and more. But everthing has its time and place... In all this I hope to meet lots of great people, do the best I can for all my sponsors be thankful and humble to everyone that has halped me and most of all be happy I am living the dream!
Competitive Highlights
