Personal History
I grew up riding dirt bikes with my dad. He bought my first dirt bike for me when I was three years old. The deal was that when i was able to ride a bicycle without training wheels, he would buy me a dirt bike. My first few years of riding I was on a yamaha pw50 (forget the year), and my dad was riding a 1986 Honda CR500. I progressively moved through many different bikes growing up and was never able to race until I was able to buy my own bikes and pay my own way to the races and entrance fees. I started out with practice days at the tracks and races here and there, but never really had the time commitment to race because I was going through college. I then got hooked on hare scrambles, which I loved because I was used to riding in the woods from going to the mountains and riding up in Hazleton PA growing up. Last year (2016) was my first year racing harescrambles and I was racing the open C class on my 2012 yz450f.
Riding Goals
Since I am riding C class again for 2017, my goal is to accumulate enough points to move up to B class for 2018. I will be able to get to the races more consistently this year because I am out of college and have a steady income. I finished in the top 10 of my class every race I did last year, and hope to finish top 5 every race this year.
Competitive Highlights
Placed top 10 in all harescrambles last year.
