Getting pumped for round 2 OXCR, it’s looking like they have laid out a fast coarse for us with some creek crossings. Going to try getting a couple days of seat time in this week and weekend.

Saturday’s race didn’t go as planned. I felt good and felt like I was riding good, but in my 4th lap I ended up getting a chain link fence wrapped up in my rear wheel and rear brake. That cost me around 7mins by looking at my lap times. Overall they had a good coarse laid out for us that turned into a mud fest and I had a good time. Hopefully round two goes better!

My little girl and I got the bike race ready for this Saturday’s OXCR race. I’m trying to step it up this year and will be running expert class in this series. Not sure how it’s going to go, but I’ll be pushing myself to be competitive in this class! I’ll be aboard my 2017 husqvarna FX350, I’ll be double checking over everything on it this Friday.

I would like to thank FXR for the sponsorship opportunity! Been working on my bike today I got all the linkage and swingarm bearings cleaned and repacked with grease. I also had to put a new ignition cover gasket on it and a complete rear wheel bearing kit not just seals and spacers like I was hoping. So all I like is torquing everything to spec and need to clean electric start button connectors. Probably hold off on putting the new tires on till after next weekends race. Unless it’s giving rain then I’ll put them on before the race.

This weekends plan due to all the rain and storms it’s giving is to get my bike race ready for the following weekend. Be putting new front and rear tire on, new rear wheel spacers and seals, and change oil and filter. Also, taking apart the linkage, lower shock bearing, and swingarm bearings to clean and repack with grease.

Got a good ride in today with some good seat time. We put a solid 4 hours on the hour meters. Had a good spill about 40 minutes into the ride. I’ve got to fix the rear kicking straight up issue. Man I’m glad I was wearing Gaerne boots! After laying on the ground for 10mins or so for the feeling to come back, I was able to finish the ride out!

Going to be a nice weekend so plan on either going riding Saturday or Sunday to get some good seat time before first round of OXCR April 6th. Hoping to go to Redbird Crest Trail System and put in 85 miles of double and single track trails. Got to fix a broke spoke in my rear wheel and replace the rear tire I cut open last Sunday at a 14 mile loop practice race. I want to thank Gaerne, Risk Racing, and OGIO for taking the chance on sponsoring me, I appreciate it greatly thank you all!
