Personal History
My name is Brynden Howell. I'm thirteen years old and live in Cottage Grove, Oregon. I have a 3.96 GPA at Lincoln Middle School. I've been racing for the past twenty two months. I race a YZ85 in the 12-13 class. I race motocross and play football and wrestling. In football I play running back, in wrestling I placed fifth at districts my first year. I raced BMX for three years. In that time I became the Oregon State champion and beat the Washington State champion who had come down to play spoiler. Had we have been in a different financial position I would have been competitive on the national level.
Riding Goals
I want to be at a competitive level for the Loretta Lynn's which means I have to be dominant at all the local races. I am convinced I can get there because I am being trained by Josh Hill's dad, Monty Hill. I've seen his sons ride and I want to be able to compete with his youngest son, Justin Hill (who is a beast!).
Competitive Highlights
The first race I competed in, I placed first and continued that throughout the beginning of my career (with a few hick-ups). I won the Pac West Series in the beginner class. Now I'm in the 12-13 class and almost always place in the top three. I make a few mistakes every now and then, but I am working on decreasing the amount of mistakes. The fact is I am not dominating my class, but with the help of Monty Hill, I believe that I can fix the glitches in my riding technique.
