Personal History

I grew up in the outskirts of St. Louis, MO. I’ve been in love with motocross since the second time I swung a leg over a bike. The first time was an infamous struggle between 5 year old me and a borrowed KTM 50 that ended in a glorious loop out. My dad, being a lifelong racer, helped me through the disappointment and got me my own bike to start out on, a nice and mellow Honda XR70. I was so unsure of myself that I made him ride on the back of it with me the first time I took it out. I remember how much easier it was when I ditched the 180lb dead weight on the back, and from that point forward motocross was my favorite thing in the whole world. I played soccer pretty competively throughout my whole childhood, but it almost felt like a side gig to moto.

Racing and riding was a family affair and introduced me some of the greatest lasting friendships I've known and will come to know. I've recently left my hometown to plant myself in Denver, CO, a place that I feel gives me every opportunity to chase my passions. I spend my weekdays as a mechanical engineer for an aerospace company, my weekday mornings in the gym, and my weekday afternoons in the garage. Saturdays and Sundays are when I get to really do what I love, whether that's in the mountains or the plains, in the snow or on the dirt. Whatever I'm up to, I can guarantee no one is having as much fun as I am.

Riding Goals

2019 is the year of my racing resurgence. 2012-2018 were consumed by time spent getting my degree and my career off the ground. I still rode as much as I could, but seat time was the name of the game, so practice days were the norm. I'll be warming up for the season with the Winter Combat Series at Aztec Raceway, racing the "open non-pro" class. These are exhibition races, so the class format is a little atypical. I'll be competing in Rocky Mountain Motocross Association series in both Open B and 25+, with an expectation of a top 10 finish in points for both classes and a goal for top 5. I'll also be competing in Round 7 of the Supercross Futures series in 25+. I'm stoked on this new series! I'm planning on documenting this journey with a Youtube series, and will hopefully inspire some other good people to get out and have a good time on their dirt bike.

Competitive Highlights

As mentioned in the goals section, I've been away from racing since 2012, so I have no recent results to highlight. However, I think this coming season will bring more great content than this section will fit!
