Background
Like many other riders, I started out riding for fun and it didn’t take long for me to realize that I was hooked on the sport. I started riding when I was 4, riding a 50 and then after a couple of years, stepped up to a 65, and then riding an 85, and today riding a KTM 200 XCW. A couple years ago, I started racing competitively and soon found out that I was pretty darn good. When matched up against my competition, I finished in first place, 12 out of 15 races with the other three as 2nd place. This year, I lead the pack of adult AA riders and received 1st place for the 2016 season in the IERA District 22 series.
I focused on improving my skills and gaining confidence in my racing ability. As a family, we made racing a top priority for the 2016 season. I have two younger brothers who also finished in the top 4 in their classes, and a younger sister who is 6, that also raced this year as well. My dad is a firefighter in Omaha, Ne and my mom is a high school special education teacher in Tabor, IA. Needless to say, my family is backing me 100% and is fully committed to my continued racing dreams.
Riding Goals
My goal for 2017 race season is to repeat as the overall AA champion. I know that I can compete and race very well. I will be traveling all across Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri for the 2017 series (14 total races). With my last year’s results, I will be a force to be reckoned with. While I am racing I am also involved in football, basketball, track, and baseball. My family and friends know me for my dedication and hard work.
You can’t win championships on your own, therefore I am asking for your support for the 2017 season. I feel that my goals are within reach, but I will be training and working hard to achieve them.
My goal is to bring attention to your product and help increase sales by displaying your stickers and banners on my bikes, gear, trailer, vehicles, and in the pits. I will wear your clothing, spread your product word-of-mouth, and promote myself and my sponsors in a responsible and professional manner. I always practice good sportsmanship and respect my fellow competitors, and display a professional attitude and image in the pits. I have also been able to manage school and racing at the same time, while receiving a 3.5 GPA.
