Personal History
My name is Austin Smith. I didn’t get my first bike until I was 10 and I just rode it around the house until I was 13 and got my first real bike, a 2015 CRF150R, still I was never introduced to motocross and just rode around the house, when I was 14 I moved up to a 250 and didn’t get introduced to motocross until I was 15 and didn’t take it very seriously until about a year ago, I am 16 now. My parents never really had any interest in me doing motocross, I ended up selling the bike and giving my dad the money he paid for the bike I traded and I saved up and got another 250. Now i’m 16 racing and riding 2-3 days a week working hard on the days off to afford the sport and paying for my own gas in my vehicle and all my track/race fees and parts. It’s a struggle having to do all of this on my own at 16. Having sponsors definitely would help me out and make it easier for me to enjoy the sport. I won’t 2nd place in the beginner boss series race and 6th place in the 250C class. I plan on racing what’s left of the 2023 Florida Motocross Series and pulling out with some podium finishes this year. I ride because it’s my passion, I love this sport more than any other one, I quit travel baseball so I could have more time to ride over the summers and fall and race and get better, it’s what I want to do more than anything.
