Personal History
Hi, my name is Ashton, but my friends call me Ashy! I started riding dirt bike when I was 3 years old. I started out on a Suzuki JR50 in my backyard! My very first spill was in the alfalfa field next to my house. I got up, brushed myself off and was ready to go again! I rode that Suzuki until I was 6 years old. I upgraded to a 2009 KTM 65 sxs. I was a bit hesitant of all that power at first, but it didn’t take long before I became comfortable on it! I rode many CCMX Series races on that bike, including my very first checkered flag!!! I was so excited to finish my very first race. I love to race and I have taken a couple podiums and brought home a few trophies! This season I got a newer bike to race, a 2017 KTM 65sx. I am even more comfortable on this bike than my older one since the seat doesn’t dip as much. This weekend will be my very first race on my new to me bike and I can’t wait!
Riding Goals
Some day I plan to be a PRO MX Racer. I love to watch Ken Roczen and Jeremy Martin race and have even made it to see them race. Ken Roczen took first at that race at Unidilla in NY and Jeremy Martin went down pretty hard at Muddy Creek in TN and was out for the rest of that season. Both of my favorite riders have had some bad spills and broken bones. They both pick themselves up and work very hard to get back to racing and that is one reason why I look up to them. Some day I plan to be a great racer with awesome sportsmanship just like them! My very next goal is to score some great sponsors and make it to compete at Loretta Lynn’s National’s!!!
