Personal History
My name is Andrew Ruud. I grew up in El Dorado Springs MO. I played basketball and ran track in high school. I attended Fort Scott Community College for 2 yrs. While attending I worked full time in construction. I then moved to Springfield, MO. to further my career opportunities. I started riding when I was 21 and fell in love with the sport. I enjoy all outdoor activities such as floating, camping, snowboarding, skydiving, hiking and working out. I currently train and workout 5 days a week after work. I have one older brother who served in the Navy and is currently living in Pennsylvania. I work for a utility company for the city of Springfield in the gas and water dept.
Riding Goals
My riding goals for this year are to compete in the MOSTATE MX series and qualify for Loretta Lynns in the +30B class. Along the way I hope to compete in other races in Oklahoma, Illinois and Arkansas. I will also be participating in fair races this summer and eventually the arena cross series this winter we have here locally. I would also like to participate in some of the closer National Amsoil Arena Crosses on amateur day.
For the year 2016 I am planning on riding in mostatemx series, Oklahoma setae mx, Lorrettas, mostate harescrambles, and try to race some of the bigger nationals such as Millville, redbud, and ironman. I'm looking forward to this year! I've had a great off season training and staying healthy! I'm ready to push hard. I would like to give a special thanks to Robert and Robbie Reynard at Reynard modifications and all my current sponsors and future possible sponsors! Your help is greatly appreciated! Without your support I wouldn't be able to do what I love weekend in and out!
