Personal History
I began riding a few years ago on a 2009 YZ450F. When that blew up I ended up with my 2014 YZ250F and I love it. I currently work in the cabinetry industry and just recently moved into a salaried, supervisor position. My wife and I ride together and she stays with me during races and practice sessions. She is the best part of it! She helps me pack my gear, makes sure I eat well enough to train and race, get enough sleep, and reminds me to keep it fun! 2018 marked a milestone when I tore my ACL and had it surgically repaired. I trained constantly all winter and continue to battle with weakness and lack of stability. Every day is work, but it has helped me understand that not a big fall, a huge jump, or a faster corner will result in injury. This one happened in 2nd gear.
Riding Goals
Finish with overall podium positions in both Women and Senior Novice classes. I want to continue to improve and grow confidence on the larger jumps I've struggled with in years past.
Competitive Highlights
2nd place overall in 2016, along with several podiums and two moto wins. 2nd place overall in 2019 with my very first overall race win at Budds Creek.
