Personal History
I live in Grand Junction, Colorado. I have been riding for several years and enjoy racing. I like the competition and friendships that come from racing. I am going to be a Junior and Fruita Monument High School. I have a core group of friends that ride and race. We all get together a few days a week and ride. We practice everything to become a better racer.
I have a little brother, Anthony. Anthony is a great rider and is winning and having fun. My dad rides, races and keeps our bikes running. We are both very competitive and frequently bang bars during practice. It keeps us on our toes and get real racing experience in practice.
I am friends with Greg Zitterkopf and he coaches me and helps me. His knowledge is very valuable. Greg is a great rider and family friend. It is great to have him help me because he has been a national champion. He knows what it takes to be fast. Greg has helped me out a lot.
Riding Goals
I have a few different goals for 2011. We are switching to Yamaha this year. Both my brother and I are going after a National Championship in the AMA national hare scrambles west. We will race the WEBE racing series where I am the current points leader in the 200 B class. I am moving to 250B for 2011 and look forward to the competition. The Yamaha YZ250 will be a great bike to race both motocross and hare scramble.
Motocross is going to be a priority in 2011 also. The Rocky Mountain MX Association has the best series in Colorado and we will race in all of the District 25 points races.
Competitive Highlights
So far this year I am the points leader in the WEBE racing Harescramble series 200B class. I have also been consistently in the top ten overall in the B class. I am having fun and that is what really matters to me.
MSR has been a big part of our success this year. I am a current supported rider with MSR. We have used MSR hard parts and their gear. Their support has helped us get to races because of the good quality and economical solutions they offer. I really owe MSR a great big THANK YOU!
In 2009 I placed second in the AMA National Hare Scramble race in Monticello, UT. I had some great competition there and felt great.
Also in 2009 I placed second in the WEBE racing hare scramble series in the 200 C class. The class was a competitive one and many of the riders were very good. I had solid performances all year. The WEBE series is a great series.
