Personal History

Hi!!! My name is Wes Cope. I am 8 years old and in the third grade. I live in Monroe, Ohio. I have an older brother and 3 older sisters and a dog named Dakota. I started riding motorcross in June of 2006. My favorite subject in school is science. When I am not practicing or racing I enjoy Freestyle BMX, swimming, hunting for crawdads at the creek, and backyard football. My favorite pro rider is Ricky Carmichael and my favorite thing about motocross is camping out the night before the race, then racing with all my buddies the next day.

Riding Goals

My goals for this year are to compete in the Earlywine Racing Winter Series.  It is one of my favorite tracks and there is always good completion.  I will be racing my Kawasaki KX65 in the beginner and 7-9 classes.  I hope to finish in the top 3 in both classes.  For the spring and summer of 2008 my goals are to practice hard and attend a riding school at either Suspension Plus or the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and also place in the top 5 of our District AMA race series.  I have the goal of attending area and regional qualifiers and going to the nationals.

Competitive Highlights

2006 Lake Bailee Series 4th overall in the 50cc Oil Injected / 4Stroke class.
