I have been riding Dirt Bikes since I was 3 years old however I didn't start racing competitively until I was 16. When I was younger my dad rode Trials competitively which taught me the fundamentals of technical riding. I started in the beginner class and worked my way into the "A" class within my first year of competitive racing. For a number of years I carried a helmet cam on all my races and my dad edited them and uploaded them to my personal website www.Jonathanbelle.com. Since them I have gotten married, been working as a Firefighter/ Paramedic with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and recently had a Baby boy. Over the last year I have been running the Florida Trail Riders Harescramble series in the "AA" class.
My goal for riding at this point is to use my position as a "AA" rider to show good leadership and set the example for the younger riders. I also look forward to getting my son riding and competing as soon as he is capable. I love teaching and putting on riding clinics at the local races to help the younger generation and to teach them the basics that will allow them to become confident riders. My goal for this past year was to get a top 10 overall finish which with 3 races left I am in a very good position to do so. For the following years I look to be consistent and continue to improve in both my riding and providing guidance for other racers.
Within my local organization the Florida Trail Riders I have won the A-250, A-Open championships in both Harescrabmles and Enduros. I have made several top 10 finishes in both series. Ive raced the Perry Mountain 24 hour race 3 years on a 5 man team which won the event on the final year.
